Progress of the reconstruction of the old camp

The reconstruction project of Nahr el Bared, conducted by UNRWA and Nahr el Bared reconstruction committee for civil action and studies  (NBRC) started 2 years ago. So far, half of the camp has been designed (in blue in the map).

In 2007, the fights between the army and Fateh el Islam destroyed totally the old camp, and a part of the new camp: 2030 buildings completely destroyed (in red in the map), 120 partially destroyed.
